Prayer Wall

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. – Hebrews 4:16

I started chemotherapy last Tuesday for cancer that started in my left Fallopian tube and metastasized to my left groin lymph nodes. The great blessing is that it did not spread to my ovary and remain silent. I had a complete hysterectomy and removal of the affected lymph nodes on March 12. All visible cancer was removed. I am asking for prayer for strength during this journey, that I am able to glorify God as I walk this path He is leading me on, and that He will continue to draw me closer.

Please pray for my physical and mental health issues, especially insomnia, which seems to affect all the other conditions.

I pray that when I enter into the Wisdom Whispers Bible Study, my joy and peace will not be robbed by the evil one, that I will be able to stand firm in God's love for me. Jesus, I am covered by your blood! So are Sarah and my other believing sisters. In your Holy name I pray. Amen.

I have a 28 yr old homeless son who works as a dishwasher but lives on the streets (for 2 1/2 years now). He’s never had a drug or alcohol problem. He just can’t get a grasp on “life.” He wants to come home for just a week, to be around family and clear his head. My heart wants to allow him that, but he doesn’t fit in with my husband (who is not his dad) and his family. I’m afraid he’d be left feeling like an outsider. I know hearing this would hurt him. I don’t know what to do. Please pray for guidance, not only in this situation, but for resolution in my son’s life. Thank you so much.

I know so many people in my community who need prayer, for salvation, for recovery from drug addiction, for hope in a better future, to know there’s a better way through Christ. We need resources in our county to help hurting children and their families.

I'll try to make my request coherent, but it's hard to put in words. First, I am a God-fearing and loving woman and absolutely believe in prayer. I've struggled from a young age with being able to focus and function. I always believed a rough home life was the cause early on, but it has continued off and on throughout my life. Pressure and deadlines have been my driving force for years. I appear to be highly capable, but really I am faking my way through life, and it's only a matter of time before the bottom falls out. Suddenly I find myself a middle-aged woman who lives in a shell, has no real relationships, and floats from day to day. It's beginning to take a toll on my marriage, parenting, and my job. It's as if I've run on chaos for so long that not even that can drive me anymore. I know this escalated after some marital problems a couple of years ago, but it's steadily getting worse. I live in the country, far from much community, so I find myself reaching out online. I have never once doubted God and His unconditional love for me, and I know He can show me a path and give me some direction to change if I can just reach out to Him. I feel that I need prayers to lift me up, that I would be able to reach out and let Him take care of me.

I've been sick with ME/CFS for 9 years now, I'm 29. I used to have 1 hour of energy per day. But the last 5 months have been very, very heavy, and less than an hour of energy is left per day, sometimes only 15 minutes. It brings all kinds of emotional/psychological and practical problems. I don't know how to face them any longer. I'm exhausted. Please pray for recovery or for the strength to endure.

It seems like when things are going good, that's when the devil strikes. Our van broke down, my little nephew might have to go back to the hospital to get his stomach checked (he had pancreatitis surgery at 8 last year)...and issues at home. I wish I could say my depression hasn't flared or that I've been a pillar of strength. But I'm human. And humans worry about finances and all these things. I know God's got this, but I could use prayers. Thank you!

Sarah Koontz, President of Living by Design Ministries

Just one more week until we launch our Wisdom Whispers Bible study, and I'm feeling the overwhelm.

Please pray for our team, that we would be diligent to fill ourselves up with God's Word and bathe everything we do in prayer. Please pray for the 1,000+ people pre-registered for the study and also the 300 women who are helping in our Launch team.

Ask the Lord to show us favor and give us wisdom, that we might glorify Him in all we do. Pray that lives would be changed because of this study and that we would all grow closer to Jesus in the next month.

As for me, personally. I feel a bit weary and muddled right now. I know it's just part of the process, but I could use an extra dose of God's strength and direction this week especially. I'm trusting Him to help pull everything together so we can serve all the participants of this study in a beautiful way.

Thank you for your prayers!

I have a couple of requests please, the main one being that I am dealing with a lot of pain here lately with my back and head. I have sciatic nerve pain, and migraine sinuses. I'm also struggling with food addiction issues and cannot seem to shake my sugar cravings, yet I know that I have to so I can be healthy. I know these are minor compared to what some are dealing with, but I appreciate your prayers.

In his book titled Prayer, John Bunyan defines prayer as “A sincere, sensible, affectionate pouring out of the heart or soul to God, through Christ, in the strength and assistance of the Holy Spirit, for such things as God has promised, or according to his word, for the good of the church, with submission in faith to the will of God.” God promises to hear us when we pray (1 Jn. 5:15), and even when we can’t find the right words, Jesus Christ intercedes on our behalf (Rom. 8:34). Our prayers don’t have to be eloquent or elaborate, they just need to be faithful and heartfelt.
