Prayer Wall

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. – Hebrews 4:16

September Prayer Requests for Living by Design Ministries

Pray for the Persecuted Church: Prayer is our most powerful weapon against the attacks of earthly and spiritual enemies. Join us in praying for the persecuted (Heb 13:3) and the persecutors (Mt 5:44). Ask God to give comfort and peace to the suffering (Heb 14:6) and strength to the body of Christ to rise up and care for those in need (Ac 5:23-35). Pray that the people in power would fight back against religious persecution and protect those who are in harm's way (Ps 20:10-11).

Pray for our Bible Study Participants: We have 1,327 active Bible studies at this time. As always, these studies are provided for free through our ministry and are delivered by e-mail to readers around the globe. Please pray for every person who is studying the Bible with us right now. Ask God to speak clearly through His work and work powerfully through His Spirit in the lives of His children. Pray for protection from distraction and discouragement and that all participants will persevere to the end. Pray that all e-mails are delivered safely to inboxes, and that lives are forever transformed through this process.

Pray for our Ministry Teams: Sarah Koontz is working closely with our Pastoral Council and other support team members to finalize our fall Bible study. Ask God to give them endurance, wisdom, and clarity as they seek to rightly divide the Word of Truth. We invite our community to continue covering this upcoming study about Christ's Parables in prayer. Specifically, we ask you to pray the following Scriptures over all who choose to participate: Colossians 1:19-20 & 3:16, Romans 8:1-2, Titus 2:11-12.

My heart is bursting with gratitude and overwhelmed by the magnitude of this Kingdom work God has called us to. There is a fierce spiritual battle raging for the hearts and affections of God’s people. Your continued prayers and support help us equip people to sharpen their swords and fight back against the enemy of their souls. SK

In his book titled Prayer, John Bunyan defines prayer as “A sincere, sensible, affectionate pouring out of the heart or soul to God, through Christ, in the strength and assistance of the Holy Spirit, for such things as God has promised, or according to his word, for the good of the church, with submission in faith to the will of God.” God promises to hear us when we pray (1 Jn. 5:15), and even when we can’t find the right words, Jesus Christ intercedes on our behalf (Rom. 8:34). Our prayers don’t have to be eloquent or elaborate, they just need to be faithful and heartfelt.
