Prayer Wall

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. – Hebrews 4:16

September rayer Requests for Living by Design Ministries

Pray for our Fall Bible Study Preparations: Sarah Koontz is working closely with our Pastoral Council and other support team members to finalize our fall Bible study. Ask God to give them endurance, wisdom, and clarity as they seek to rightly divide the Word of Truth. We invite our community to cover this upcoming study on the life and legacy of the Apostle Paul in prayer. Specifically, we ask you to pray the following Scriptures over all who choose to participate: Colossians 1:19-20 & 3:16, Romans 8:1-2, and Titus 2:11-12.

Pray for our Fall Fundraiser Preparations: In past years, up to 50% of our yearly income has come from our fall fundraising efforts. As many of our existing donors face financial uncertainty due to the economy, we ask God to provide for our free Bible study ministry in unexpected and glorious new ways. We are resting safe and secure in the shadow of His wings and trusting Him to continue to sustain our ministry in these uncertain financial times.

Pray for the Persecuted Church: Prayer is our most powerful weapon against the attacks of earthly and spiritual enemies. Join us in praying for the persecuted (Heb 13:3) and the persecutors (Mt 5:44). Ask God to give comfort and peace to the suffering (Heb 14:6) and strength to the body of Christ to rise up and care for those in need (Ac 5:23-35). Pray that the people in power would fight back against religious persecution and protect those who are in harm's way (Ps 20:10-11).

Pray for the Koontz Family: We have faced many unanticipated trials over the summer months. Although we are finding great peace and comfort in our faith in God's ability to guide and provide for us, we do appreciate your continued prayers. Please pray for our family members by name (Ryan, Sarah, Anya, & Nadia) as you ask God to protect us physically, mentally, relationally, and spiritually.

In his book titled Prayer, John Bunyan defines prayer as “A sincere, sensible, affectionate pouring out of the heart or soul to God, through Christ, in the strength and assistance of the Holy Spirit, for such things as God has promised, or according to his word, for the good of the church, with submission in faith to the will of God.” God promises to hear us when we pray (1 Jn. 5:15), and even when we can’t find the right words, Jesus Christ intercedes on our behalf (Rom. 8:34). Our prayers don’t have to be eloquent or elaborate, they just need to be faithful and heartfelt.
