Prayer Wall

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. – Hebrews 4:16

I am requesting prayer for my friend. Her name is Kim and last Sunday her husband was shot and killed while doing his job as a security guard. He leaves behind his wife and two young daughters, Zoey and Lydia. James and Kim are both Christians and attend our church. Kim and the two daughters are suffering so much. Our pastor and his wife were with her when she told her daughters that daddy would never be coming home again that he had passed away. Our church has rallied around Kim and the girls, but we need a lot of prayers going up for her. She is in so much pain and can't understand how this would happen. James was in the Marines, Special Forces, and did tours in Iraq and Afganistan. He was working as a guard to take care of his family. Please pray for Kim and her daughters that God would comfort her as only He can do. This is something I am having a hard time with too. It has really shaken my faith.

Dear Jesus Christ, please heal my skin allergies, sensitive skin, eczema, urticaria, dry skin and the marks that those conditions have left on my face, neck, chest, arms and abdomen. I have been to so many dermatologist and alternative practitioners, but they haven't been able to heal my skin. Dear Lord, you made my body and my skin, so you are better placed than anyone in the world to heal me. Please let me know what I need to do and what I need to stop doing to heal. I am grateful for what these skin conditions have taught me about me, about my skin and about others, but I am ready and willing to have a different experience. Please Lord, allow me to stop reacting to every single cream, lotion, oil and plant that I put on the skin of my face and body. Allow me to find a moisturizer that nourishes and helps my skin heal without causing me irritation, marks and inflammation. Dear Jesus, please forgive my sins and grant me the grace of healing my skin, my body and my mind. Jesus, you who healed the leper, make my skin beautiful, flawless, healthy, strong, firm and perfect again. Amen

I am having a fertility issue and wish to experience fatherhood. Please pray that I will be fertile again and my wife will be pregnant with our child so that my marriage will be complete with a beautiful child. My age is catching up and my only hope and faith are in the Lord.

February Prayer Requests for Living by Design Ministries

Guest Writers: We will be inviting guest writers to submit articles for consideration from February 1-15. We will then be reading through the articles and prayerfully considering which ones to publish on the Living by Design blog. Please ask God to help our team spread the word about this opportunity and lead the right people to write and submit articles. God is the only One who intimately knows our readers' needs, and we are asking Him to guide and direct this process.

Sarah Koontz & Family: We are so grateful for everyone who covers our family in prayer. The spiritual battle we face daily is very real, and the attacks are ruthless. Please join us in praying for our marriage, finances, extended family, and beloved daughters. Ask God to fill our home with His presence and protect us from the schemes of the enemy. Ask Him to give us supernatural strength to overcome obstacles and live in victory as we seek to serve others with our gifts and talents. Pray specifically for Ryan that the Lord would bless the work of his hands and give Him the wisdom to lead our family well. For Anya, that God would fill her heart with faith and give her freedom from fear. For Nadia, that God would reveal His love to her and fill her mind with the beauty of His revelation and truth. Pray for Sarah that God would give her health and endurance to complete the work of the calling He has placed upon her life.

Board of Directors: Our annual meeting is coming up. Please pray for our board as they work to finalize and approve our 2021 budget and make other weighty ministry decisions. As the ministry grows, so do our financial needs. Please pray that the Lord would continue to provide faithful monthly donors and generous one-time contributions to fund all our ministry programs.

Upcoming Projects: Our ministry team plans to release an audio version & going deeper guide for our Worthy of the Calling study in March. Please pray that God would direct the process and that many are blessed & encouraged by the update of this beloved study. Pray also for Sarah Koontz as she enters the research phase for a 7-week study of the parables (Fall 2021). Ask God to guide and direct her through this process and give her strength and endurance as she seeks to craft this new study. She is also working on a short 5-day study on the Beatitudes (April 2021). Asking for wisdom, guidance, and insight...always!

May God bless and sustain you! May He draw you into His presence and reveal His love and His light to you. May He give you hope for the future and a hunger for His Word.

I pray for peace of mind. I worry about my 20 yr. old son. He struggles with anxiety and it keeps him from normal daily activities. I have a daughter who has a second child on the way. It is a blessing but I worry constantly. Pray for my family.

After 27 months of being homeless due to the fire in Paradise, Ca - we are closing on a home. There are numerous small delays and it is frustrating, but we will soon have a roof over our heads even if we do not have beds to sleep in! Please pray for the closing, the move, and the beginning of a new life.

In his book titled Prayer, John Bunyan defines prayer as “A sincere, sensible, affectionate pouring out of the heart or soul to God, through Christ, in the strength and assistance of the Holy Spirit, for such things as God has promised, or according to his word, for the good of the church, with submission in faith to the will of God.” God promises to hear us when we pray (1 Jn. 5:15), and even when we can’t find the right words, Jesus Christ intercedes on our behalf (Rom. 8:34). Our prayers don’t have to be eloquent or elaborate, they just need to be faithful and heartfelt.
