Prayer Wall

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. – Hebrews 4:16

Please pray for dear friend, Deborah who will begin chemotherapy on tomorrow, December 2, 2020. She has been told the tumor is inoperable and not so encouraging outcome from one of the doctors. She is resolute in her faith and is asking for prayers that she may be strong and encourage others on her journey through this disease. Blessings and peace. Thank you.

December Prayer Requests for Living by Design Ministries

Year-End Giving: When God gave us a vision for this free Bible study ministry, He clearly directed us toward a community-supported ministry model. Without your prayers, your shares, and your donations—our ministry model doesn’t work. And that is exactly as it should be! God’s people, working together to accomplish God’s purposes here on earth. Please pray for perseverance, patience, and peace for our leadership team as we recognize that our financial need is beyond our ability to fundraise (in our own efforts). We are eagerly anticipating the unexpected ways God will choose to provide for all our needs and invite you to join us in prayer and anticipation.

Article Selection for the Living by Design Blog: Praise the Lord! We received 45 guest blog submissions during November. Please pray for our team as we review all the submissions and decide what articles to publish on the Living by Design blog in the upcoming months. We also ask for clarity, wisdom, and insight as we begin the editing process on the selected articles.

Clear Direction for 2021: Please pray for our board of directors and leadership team as we enter a new year of ministry together. We are seeking the Lord for wisdom in several areas of ministry and are trusting Him to continue to guide and direct us for His glory. Pray that every team member would be refreshed, renewed, and revitalized as we continue to work together in 2021.

Rest & Health: We released six new or updated Bible study resources in 2020, and our team is showing signs of fatigue. We are all committed to this cause and passionate about this work. Still, we also want to make sure we take care of ourselves (emotionally, spiritually, physically) so we can continue to serve for many years to come. Please pray that this December would be a time of rest and restoration for our staff and volunteers. Specifically, ask the Lord to give us all a sweet season of spiritual refreshment as we draw near to Him and seek His direction for the future.

Pray for my husband, our marriage of 22 years, and our family

Earlier this year my 24-year marriage came to a complete end with the finalization of our divorce. It's been a long path, and the struggle to build a life as a single Mom with a teenager, going back to work after being a stay at home Mom for over 18 years, and now also dealing with Covid, has been so difficult. Please pray that God would guide me to a home that I can afford to buy for my daughter and me to live in. Also for the Lord to send me a Godly husband, one who will love me and treat my daughter as his daughter, and who we can love and respect as well, so that we can be a family.

Please pray that God would very soon provide me with a loving, hardworking husband with a heart for international ministry. The wait has become unbearably painful, and I need the Lord's guidance on what to do.

Please, God, help my son. He is never happy and has been in bed for 3 days. He is always putting everyone down and complaining. He has 2 children and it's so sad because he is the custodial parent and we want him to get better. We can't talk to him it just gets worse. We all live together and I hate for my 2 grandchildren to move out but we are praying they don't have to. Dear God, please help this family have peace. Amen

My son has been evicted from where he is living and isn’t working. He has emotional issues and can’t seem to tolerate others who have a different point of view and he has been angry and harsh with them. He needs a restorative miracle. a job and a place to live. He lives 2000 miles away and I can’t help him. Thank you.

In his book titled Prayer, John Bunyan defines prayer as “A sincere, sensible, affectionate pouring out of the heart or soul to God, through Christ, in the strength and assistance of the Holy Spirit, for such things as God has promised, or according to his word, for the good of the church, with submission in faith to the will of God.” God promises to hear us when we pray (1 Jn. 5:15), and even when we can’t find the right words, Jesus Christ intercedes on our behalf (Rom. 8:34). Our prayers don’t have to be eloquent or elaborate, they just need to be faithful and heartfelt.
