A Free 6-week Bible Study
with Sarah Koontz
Study Released in July 2019
Do you desire a closer walk with Jesus? Do you crave the wondrous oneness that comes from abiding in the love of Christ and resting in the care of the Father?
Sarah Koontz invites you to join us for “Pray Like David,” a free online Bible study exploring the life and prayers of King David.
Prayer is a spiritual discipline most Christians desire to cultivate, yet we often struggle to know where to start. In the same way that children absorb and acquire language from their parents, we will learn the language of prayer by studying the Psalms of David over the next six weeks. We will learn to pray with confidence, allowing the Psalms to teach us as we go.
Invite the richness of God’s Word to permeate your prayer life and transform you over the next six weeks. Allow the Holy Spirit to use this study to lead you to the abundant pools of spiritual refreshment and satisfy your thirsty soul.
Each week we will learn more about the life and testimony of King David as we study a specific genre of the Psalms that is relevant to the circumstances he is facing. His life will become for us an example on how to persist in prayer, persevere in affliction, and submit to a holy God who allows suffering to shape us into His image.
This Bible Study will help you…
- Learn about the life and legacy of King David
- Study the language of prayer in the Psalms
- Draw near to God through personal prayer
- Infuse your worship with the songs of the Bible
- Rest and rejoice in the beauty of the Psalms
This Bible study was designed to fit into your busy schedule. It is six-weeks long and include just one teaching e-mail per week. Each teaching e-mail is packed with resources to help guide your study throughout the week, including a PDF with five days of guided study and prayers inspired by the Psalms.
Once you register, you will receive a welcome letter and a free digital gift. The first devotional will arrive in your inbox tomorrow morning.
All Participants Will Receive This Free Digital Art

What To Expect During The “Pray Like David” Study
Each week you will receive several free resources to help you immerse yourself in the prayerbook of the Bible, including:
✔ Weekly Lessons: Because many of David’s Psalms are inspired by his life circumstances, we’ve included a weekly lesson to help you put the Psalms we are studying into context.
✔ Daily Prayers: Because many of David’s Psalms are prayers, we’ve included daily prayers inspired by the Psalms in our study (and recorded an audio version for your benefit).
✔ Free Music: Because many of David’s Psalms are song lyrics, we’ve partnered with The Psalms Project to provide a free MP3 download of a Psalm set to music each week.
✔Journaling Pages: Because many of David’s Psalms are personal requests, we’ve partnered with Girlfriends in the Word™ to include printable journaling pages to help you personalize and apply the Psalms to your life.
Do you lack peace? Do you long to experience the presence of God in your day-to-day life? Immerse yourself in the prayerbook of the Bible and find yourself forever changed by the truth it contains.
