We are offering this custom handpainted Bible donated by Kory Callihan as a silent auction item during our “Shop for a Good Cause” fundraiser. This beautiful Bible includes the original sketches of the 23 characters we profiled in the RescYOUed Study. We have estimated the market value of this Bible at $550 ($90 for the Bible with Handpainted Cover + $20 for each character sketch included). Therefore, our minimum bid is $550. As this is an online silent auction, we are unable to release updates or allow for multiple bid amounts from the same donor. The auction item value listed is an estimate of fair market value. This item has not been appraised. Living by Design Ministries is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Living by Design Ministries reserves the right to add or withdraw items, without notice, to or from the auction. If the reserve bid of $550 is not met, the ministry will retain the item. Each person bidding assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising indirectly from Living by Design Ministries, their elected and appointed officials, and employees.
If you are selected as the auction winner, you will be notified by e-mail on or before December 20, 2019. Payment for the item must be received within 48 hours of notification, or you will forfeit your right to this item and we will offer it to the next highest bidder. This item will be shipped to you within 1 week of payment, and tracking information will be e-mailed to you.
Meet the Artist
“When Sarah first asked me to paint character portraits for the RescYOUed Bible Study, I was eager to get started. Although I struggled with moments of doubt throughout the process, in the end, I discovered that God really did equip me for this task.
Many people did not have easy lives in the Bible, so I did not want to make them look too perfect. Of course, I have no way of knowing what each person looked like, so these portraits are my own artistic interpretations. I love God and only wish to honor His Word as I work to bring the Bible to life with my paintings.
I have learned so much through this project and I hope you all enjoy my interpretations of the Biblical characters as you work your way through the RescYOUed Bible study.
