The final chapters of Ephesians contain the Bible’s most comprehensive teaching on marriage and family followed by a strong warning to beware of the invisible battle.
Ephesians 6:12 says, “For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.”
Satan and his demons exist in opposition to God and his angels.
The ultimate battle of good versus evil rages to this day (Rev 20:10) and our world is ravaged by this invisible conflict.
But if we can’t see it, how do we know it is real?
As Christians, we must learn to measure spiritual things by their influence on the world around us.

Hurricanes, tornadoes, and dust storms are wind-powered tools of destruction.
The unseen demolishing the seen.
This, sweet friend, is what Paul is trying to help the first-century Christians understand.
Paul writes difficult truths in Ephesians because he longs for his friends to experience victory.
In. All. Things.
He has supernatural insight into the enemy’s strategy and knows how to access Christ’s stash of spiritual weapons.
Of course he’s going to share this life-preserving information with his beloved brothers and sisters!

Faith shields.
Knowledge transforms.
The Spirit conquers.
Gear up. Stand firm. Be strong. Study your enemy and sharpen your sword.
