A Christian Woman’s Top 10 Secrets for Healthful Living – VIDEO

Living by Design with Sarah Koontz, Session 2

Healthy is a synergistic concept that requires body, soul, and spirit to accomplish.

It is a filter that you use to make each and every decision in your life.

It is something you work towards and rarely ever achieve, but your efforts are never in vain.

Each healthy choice you make will improve the quality of your life and bring you one step closer to being the woman God created you to be.

Many people who promote healthy lifestyles only focus on the physical body but I have discovered that there is so much more to healthful living than just the condition of our earth suit.

We must also be aware of emotional and spiritual stumbling blocks that will cause our health to spiral quickly out of control.

And life without Jesus is the biggest stumbling block of them all!

Living without Jesus in our lives is like living without air or water; it is depriving our bodies of the thing they need the most.

Jesus is no longer in the manger; He is passionately knocking on the door of your heart.

If you are ready to discover who Jesus really is—ready to find the love and purpose you have been searching for—find someone to talk with (or send me an e-mail, I’d love to answer your tough questions!)

This is a safe space for you to ask, seek, knock.

If you already know who Jesus is, it may be time to take inventory of your relationship with Him.

Because nothing impacts our health as negatively as when we choose to walk in rebellion or rely too heavily on my own strength to accomplish the tasks of each day.

We weren’t created to live in independence, but rather a moment-by-moment dependence on the Creator.

This is the biggest secret of them all, and the one that has brought about the most freedom and vitality in my own life.

I pray it does the same for you.

A Christian Woman's Top 10 Secrets for Healthy Living

Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the ideas and thoughts of the heart.”

We need God’s word to guide us, but we also need to learn to listen to our bodies, protect our environment, and make wise decisions that give us the absolute best chance at a healthful life.

I often refer to myself as the healthiest sick person you will ever meet.

Diagnosed with a chronic illness at nineteen, I have experienced many highs and lows on my journey of discovering my own version of healthy.

And now I’m ready to share all of my best secrets with you!

I hope this video training inspires you to discover what healthy looks like on YOU!

Because it’s going to be different for each of us, isn’t it?

God created you in His image, but He also made you uniquely you.

And if you choose to give Him all of you—body, soul, and spirit—He will reveal a whole new way of living to you.

I believe God has a design for you, custom-fitted to your life, your body, your circumstance.

As I’ve journeyed alongside other women throughout the past decade or two, I’ve discovered that many of us face similar challenges, have familiar weaknesses, fall into common traps.

In this video, the second session of my Living By Design retreat, we dig into my top ten secrets for healthful living.

If you haven’t done so already, you may want to watch the first session titled, “Understanding God’s Design – The Body, Soul, Spirit Connection” first. It lays a solid foundation of truth upon which this video lesson is built.
